Witchy Recipe: Hand Sanitizer

Last summer I also made my own hand sanitizer, and frankly I can’t believe I hadn’t been doing this from the beginning! It’s so much better! Not only does it smell delightful, but it leaves my hands feeling nice and moisturized! ✨🧼💖 This was super fun, and of course I will be doing this forever now. And I was delighted to get to use some of my Witch’s Magical Herbs from The Mystical Crow and my favorite essential oil blend from Witch Casket!

  • 💧 91% isopropyl alcohol for germ-banishing

  • 🌿 Fresh aloe from my garden

  • 🍃 Angelica for protection & healing

  • 🌼 Yarrow for good health

  • 🌹 Rose petals for nice fragrance & pretty color

  • 💎 Amethyst for clearing negative energy

  • 💎 Clear quartz for amplifying the cleansing vibes

  • 💧Essential oil blend of patchouli, orange, and cinnamon

Friends, I’ve been using this hand sanitizer every single day for 7 months now (and I haven’t run out yet) and I love it! My hands feel SO moisturized afterward and they smell GREAT! I thought I’d share the full recipe for you here, and to be frank, I definitely adapted this from a recipe I found in an online search so it’s a common blend + magick.

Recipe for Hand Sanitizer

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup of 91-99% isopropyl alcohol

  • 1/2 cup aloe vera gel

  • a few drops of essential oils (whatever smells good to you!)

  • OPTIONAL: cleansing+banishing herbs (see above)

  • OPTIONAL: water-safe crystals (I used clear quartz and amethyst)

PROCESS

  1. OPTIONAL: infuse the herbs into the alcohol for ~30 minutes, then strain out the solid matter.

  2. Mix the alcohol, aloe vera gel, and essential oils together.

  3. Pour into a pump or spray bottle. Add the crystals if you wish.

  4. Use whenever you need to sanitize your hands and enjoy!
