Candles

Candles are pretty straightforward to use, but here are some of my favorite tips for getting the most out of your experience!

  • Keep the wick trimmed to about 1/4-inch. This will prevent the flame from getting too large and producing excess soot & smoke.

  • Burn for about 2 hours at a time. This allows for an even melting pool throughout the candle without overdoing it.

  • Stop using the candle when there’s about 1/4 inch of wax left. At this point the wick will just be burning nothing, producing soot without the benefit of fragrance.

  • Save the vessel once the candle is gone! Remove the wax & wick, wipe down the inside of the jar, and reuse it however you wish!

    • Option 1: if you catch it at the end of a burning session, pour the rest of the wax out while it’s still liquid.

    • Option 2: remelt the leftover wax in the microwave (non-metallic vessels only) so you can pour it out.

    • Option 3 (my personal favorite method): use a candle warmer to get one last session of fragrance from your candle, then when you’re ready to end it, pour the melted wax out!

    • Option 4: if the vessel has a wide enough opening, freeze it, then pop the chunk of wax + wick out of the jar.

  • Reuse / Repurpose the vessel! I often buy candles just because I want to reuse the pretty vessel afterward, and I have a LOT of them! Here are just a few fun ways you can repurpose your candle jars.

    • Use it as a planter. Most of my plants are in candle jars ALL over my house!

    • Use it for storage. I have candle jars full of crystals, enamel pin backs, dried herbs & flowers, pens, and more!

    • Use it for drinking. If the vessel is food-safe (as some of my limited edition candles are), you can use it for drinking your favorite beverages!

    • Use it for witchcraft. A special vessel can be extra potent when making a tincture infusion, moon water, spell bottle, burning incense, burning tealights, or anything else you can think of!

Salves & Potions

Right now, salves and potions are only available as possible bonus samples in your order, but they will be coming to the shop soon as individual products and as art of Witchy Delivery boxes! So — how do you use them?

  • SLEEP SALVE: massage a small amount onto temples, third eye, pulse points, backs of hands, or anywhere else for a soothing, relaxing sleepytime vibe

  • CALMING POTION (lemon balm): put a few drops under the tongue to soothe anxiety and get a little boost of calm

Bath Bombs

Unwrap and drop into a warm bath. Allow the fizzy magic to dissolve into the water, surrounding you with silky smoothness and delightful aromas. Sit back and relax for as long as you like.
